Hurry Up and Wait - Day 5 of 5

Day 5: Reflecting Christ’s Love

Five-day devotional based on the message, "Hurry Up and Wait" by Senior Pastor Jeff Maness on May 11, 2025. Click here to watch the video.
Devotional:
Our lives should be a reflection of Christ’s love, extending grace and compassion to those around us. Jesus teaches us that whatever we do for the least of His brothers and sisters, we do for Him. This understanding calls us to serve others with kindness and generosity, seeing each act as an offering to God. In essence, while we wait for the final Kingdom of God—Heaven on earth—we should be working toward and building toward that Kingdom now. Not just saying it, but living it: “Your Kingdom come and Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” That is our vision. As we anticipate His return, let us be diligent in showing His love through our actions, making a tangible difference in the world for His glory, one life at a time.

Bible Verse:
“Whatever you have done to the least of your brothers and sisters, you were doing it for Me.” —Matthew 25:40

Reflection Question:
In what ways can I build God's kingdom on earth today, not just saying it, but truly living it?

Sermon Quote:
“The seriousness with which Jesus takes our living for Him is real. Following Jesus is not just a mental decision—it is a life surrendered. A life that is strong in purpose and going beyond in practice—empowered only by His Holy Spirit that lives in and through us.”

Prayer:
Gracious God, please empower me by Your Holy Spirit to fully surrender my life to you, to live a life that is strong in purpose, going beyond in practice, and understanding my potential. Help me to serve with a heart full of compassion and grace, doing whatever I know you are asking me to do. As we wait for Jesus' return, please use my life to build Your kingdom here on earth. Amen.
