Day 3: The Attention of Jesus
Devotional
Today, we explore the comforting truth that the end is about the attention of Jesus. John’s encounter with the risen Christ in Revelation reveals not only John’s awe but also Jesus’s tender attention toward him. This intimate moment reminds us that Jesus, with all His power and authority, is deeply attentive to us. He assures us to not be afraid, for He holds the keys of death and the grave. In our moments of fear and uncertainty, Jesus offers His presence and peace.
Bible Verse
"But he (Jesus) laid his right hand on me and said, 'Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last.'" — Revelation 1:17
Reflection Question
How does knowing that Jesus is attentive to you change your perspective on facing fears and uncertainties?
Sermon Quote
"That the end is not just about our attention to Jesus—but also—the attention of Jesus to John."
Prayer
Dear Jesus, thank You for Your constant attention and care. When I am afraid, remind me of Your presence and the peace You offer. Help me to rest in the assurance that You see and know me completely. Amen.
