In this journey of faith, anticipation plays a crucial role. Just as the story of the teenagers frantically cleaning their house before their father's unexpected return (in the sermon) reminds us, our spiritual readiness is of utmost importance. Jesus’ return is an event that requires us to stay vigilant and prepared at all times. In the same way the boys were caught off guard by a false alarm, we must ensure that our readiness is not based on hearsay, but on the truth of Jesus' words. Our faith should be rooted in the assurance that readiness is more about relationship and trust in Jesus than knowing every detail of His return.
