CURRENT VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Family Promise: Volunteers needed September 10 – 16th (once a month) to provide a meal (for 12 people) for homeless families in the Bay Area housed through family promise.

Food Pantry / Can Food Drive: July 2nd we will have a can food drive at the Harbor. Our goal is 2500 items to help with the additional needs for the summer. Check the easel by the pantry for specific needs and bring as many cans as you are able. Drop them at the Pantry or leave them behind your vehicles when you attend service on July 2nd and we will pick them up.

1000 Hills Ministry: Volunteers needed August 2nd, 6:30 – 8:30P to serve meals to the homeless.

Sewing Ministry

Do you like to sew?  Join a group of creative The Harbor ladies currently sewing wheel chair bags.

Center For Pregnancy

Center for Pregnancy in Friendswood is looking for a Dr. or an RN willing to donate time performing ultrasounds for clients (CFP will train if needed). Must be willing to commit to at least one hour weekly or every other week, long term. Also in need of mentors for both men and women as well as administrative and organizational support.

A Treasure of Dreams

A Treasure of Dreams is a local ministry that works with adults who have special needs. They are in need of volunteers for various projects. They have some construction needs as well as some needs for their day program.

1000 Hills Ministry
Weekly | Wed. Nights | 6:30p (meet at Gateway Church) to go downtown

The Harbor serves 1,000 Hills Ministry on a weekly basis. The Harbor provides the meal for 1,000 Hills Ministry every other month. Serve a meal and provide spiritual food for those who are homeless and in need.

Meals On Wheels
Daily | Mon – Fri | 10:30a -12:30p

Are you available any week day ( one day a week every 8 weeks ) from 10:30a -12:30p? Would you like to minister to someone with a meal and a smile? Volunteers are needed each day to deliver meals to local people who need assistance.

Operation Fill The Panty

Would you like to be involved in our food ministry?  We collect non-perishable food for area pantries every Sunday.
A list of high demand items can be found here.
Volunteers are needed to help collect cans before service and/or help deliver food. Deliveries are made on Monday or Wednesday mornings.
